Exploring Innovation: Anya Reeves Attends MetPrep Roadshow at Cambridge University

ASAMS Metallurgical Technician, Anya Reeves, recently attended the MetPrep Road Show held at the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at the prestigious Cambridge University. The road show showcased the latest advancements in materials preparation and metallographic technology.

Reflecting on the day, Anya stated, “Overall, it was great to go down to see a couple of bits of the tech that MetPrep has to offer. Seeing the additional technology not used at ASAMS, as well as learning about their applications outside of metallography, was really interesting.”

The MetPrep Road Show is designed to demonstrate the diverse capabilities of the company’s equipment, providing attendees with hands-on exposure to the latest innovations. This year, MetPrep also featured its partnership with Zeiss, showcasing a lineup of Zeiss microscopes and highlighting their role in advancing precision and efficiency in materials analysis.

The event offered insights into technologies applicable across various industries and applications. Such opportunities for professional growth and exploration underscore ASAMS’ commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation. Anya's participation not only reflects her dedication to advancing her expertise but also strengthens the company's position as a leader in metal testing.
