ASAMS engages with future engineers at City College Norwich’s Engineering Link Day

ASAMS Managing Director, Thomas Whiskin and Laboratory Manager Ziggy Cooke, recently attended the Engineering Link Day at City College Norwich. During the event, they shared valuable insights and industry knowledge on metallurgy, and the type of work ASAMS Metal Testing is doing in this field. ASAMS participation was part of our ongoing commitment to fostering strong relationships with educational institutions and helping to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Thomas Whiskin expressed his enthusiasm about the event, stating, "It was a pleasure to introduce students to the work we do at ASAMS and to delve into some of the more specialised areas within engineering, such as metallurgy. The level of enthusiasm and curiosity the students showed was truly inspiring and it was exciting to see their interest in such a niche but vital aspect of the field."

The presentation was aimed at engaging and inspiring the next generation of engineers, giving them a closer look at real-world applications in metallurgy and testing. This experience not only offered students valuable knowledge but also sparked a deeper interest in the diverse career paths available within the engineering sector.
