Determining cause of failure of engineering components, providing suggested solutions for cost benefit or improved safety, acting as a professional expert witness in cases of dispute.

Materials Consultancy
Advice on materials selection, e.g. choice of appropriate materials for new designs, substitute materials where specified grades have been withdrawn, suitable surface treatment procedures or surface coatings, etc.
Welding Consultancy
Review or writing of weld procedure specifications, compiling welder certification, witnessing and qualifying procedure test pieces, compiling welding procedure qualification records. This is carried out by an external consultant.
