Introduction
Originally formed in 1989 as ASA Metallurgical Services Limited, ASAMS has expanded its activities from the original provision of materials testing and consultancy services to incorporate a range of underwater engineering services.
The range of services now offered includes mechanical testing, corrosion testing and chemical analysis under UKAS accreditation in accordance with the requirements of the international standard BS EN ISO IEC 17025; failure investigation of metallic materials and components; manufacture, sales and service of the ASAMS System 3 and System 12 underwater magnetic particle inspection equipment; manufacture and sale of underwater diver helmet mounted CCTV cameras and lights.
Operating from customised premises in Great Yarmouth, the company is staffed by dedicated engineers and technicians who all have a minimum of 20 years experience in their relevant disciplines. They are all shareholders in the company and are used to providing a customer-oriented service at all times.
